Privacy policy.
Short, because there is not much to say. We sell one product, and we only want the information it takes to ship it to you.
The short version
We never sell your information and we never share it for advertising. There are no ad trackers on this site.
We never see your card number. Stripe handles payment; card details never reach our servers.
You can browse everything without telling us anything. There is no account to create.
This explains what Kinetic Robotics does with your information when you use kineticrobotic.com, order a Myo-20, or contact support. It goes with our Terms of Use.
What we collect
If you order: your name, email, delivery address, billing address, and what you ordered. We need these to charge you and send you a parcel.
If you contact support: your email and whatever you write in the message.
If you just visit: which pages you looked at, roughly what city you are in, and your device and browser type. Your IP address is recorded in ordinary server logs. This is the same information every website receives.
We do not collect your card number, your precise location, or anything sensitive like health or biometric data. The actuator itself never sends us anything — it has no connection to our servers.
Who else sees it
Google Analytics measures aggregate page and product-section engagement, including sections viewed, scroll depth, and time spent. We do not use session replay, form-field recording, keystroke capture, or cursor tracking.
Five companies, each doing one job for us. They may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Stripe — takes your payment and collects your address.
- Zoho Desk — runs the support ticket form.
- Google Analytics — counts visits.
- Google Fonts — serves the typeface. Sees your IP address, sets no cookies.
- Cloudflare — runs the small server function that starts your checkout and prices shipping.
Otherwise we share your information only if the law requires it, or if the business is ever sold — in which case the buyer would be bound by this same policy and you would be told.
We have never sold personal information and we do not share it for advertising. That includes under California's privacy laws, where "sale" and "sharing" have specific meanings. We do neither.
How long we keep it
Orders: about seven years, because tax law requires it. This is the one thing we cannot delete on request.
Support tickets: up to three years, so a later warranty question has its history.
Analytics: 14 months, then Google deletes it automatically.
Server logs: 30 days or less.
Your rights
Email us and ask. It is free, you do not need an account, and it changes nothing about your order, your price or your warranty.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. Email support@kineticrobotic.com and we will reply within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm your order number first, so we do not hand your details to someone else.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights — to object to how we use your information, to withdraw consent, or to complain to your data protection authority. Ask and we will walk you through it. We would rather fix the problem ourselves first.
A few last things
Security. The site runs over HTTPS, and card data never enters our systems — we cannot lose what we never hold. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affects you we will tell you.
Where it goes. We are in the United States and so are our providers. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information comes here. The product itself currently ships only within the US.
Children. This is industrial hardware for qualified users. You must be 18 to order, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes. If we update this policy, the date at the top changes. If a change would reduce the protection of information we already hold about you, we will email you first rather than doing it quietly.
Contact
Email support@kineticrobotic.com, or open a ticket on the support page. Put "Privacy request" in the subject and it gets routed straight there.
Want your data deleted?
Ask, and it is done — no account, no charge, no effect on your order or your warranty.
